Subject: A real letter from a US Marine

From a Marine.

I saw the President do an interesting thing today that says a lot about who he is. It is in such sharp contrast to the actions and attitude of his predecessor....

As he and Laura were leaving for Camp David today, the president was carrying one of the dogs to the helo. He put the dog down to walk him to the stairs, but the dog looked like he wanted to go elsewhere. So, the President had to pick him up and carry him up the stairs. Meanwhile, of course, he was being saluted by the Marine and not returning the salute. Once he got the dog safely inside the helo, he went back down the stairs, touched the sleeve of the Marine's blouse to get his attention and smartly saluted him. The smile on the Marine's face as he returned the salute told the whole story. He knew he had just been shown the utmost respect by the President of the United States.

I had to share this with you guys as I was filled with pride for both men as I saw this exchange.
