"When we hate our enemies, we are giving them power over us: power over our sleep, our appetites, our blood pressure, our health, and our happiness. Our enemies would dance with joy if only they knew how they were worrying us, lacerating us, and getting even with us! Our hate is not hurting them at all, but our hate is turning our own days and nights into a hellish turmoil"....Dale Carnegie.

True again....but I have always been taught that I am not to concern myself with someone else's actions....only my own. It's just that it is difficult to totally move past someone who dislikes you....especially in everyday life where you work with someone and see no "reason" that they dislike you....

The following is taken from Dale Carnegie's Scrapbook....

"Remember that the other man may be totally wrong. But he doesn't think so. Don't condemn him. Any fool can do that. Try to understand him. Only wise, tolerant, exceptional men even try to do that. There is a reason why the other man thinks and acts as he does. Ferret out that hidden reason--and you have the key to his actions, perhaps to his personality. Try honestly to put yourself in his place"....Dale Carnegie.

This was so brought home to me this past month. Someone from online approached me after 6 months or so of silence. We had encountered a very strange situation last year in February.  We worked through it....and became very good friends.  A third party interfered with our friendship, however it was strong enough it survived.  We had built our relationship on respect ,and so the "interference"  was as easy to detect as jealousy.  I had no problem putting myself in their place. As you all know, "I have been there done that" as to online....and I understood their jealousy completely. The party feels as if I have not been forgiving....when I feel as if there is nothing to forgive....it's AOL :-) My greatest hope here in all these pages....is to shed a little understanding on others :-)  Right when my enthusiasm was lagging....the whole experience gave it a boost!!!
